AVE
This is the mod dropbox. You can leave any questions you have about the game here, including:
- Administrative concerns like errors on the cast list, a request to change your face claim, dropping a character, etc.
- General questions about worldbuilding and game mechanics.
- Broad suggestions for plots, memes, and anything else you'd like to see in the game.
- Pitches for character-specific plots (which I love to hear!). This can be anything from "I'd really like to explore this concept with my character more" to "My character is going into the Marshall Exclusion Zone, what happens?".
- Requests for interaction with NPCs and NPC factions. If it's specific to a leader NPC, you can ask in their dropbox: Mara (Whitney Field Depot), Dutch (The Container Fort), Jem (Prescott Fire Station), Roswell (Lundegaard Lumber).
- Anything requiring mod feedback!

As to specifics about what happened: While the military was still at Prescott/in the area, they were maintaining the power grid. In March and April 2012, the power grid was operational, but power to residential neighborhoods was already unreliable. By the time the the military pulled out of the area in late April 2012, the majority of Quad residents would have already been without power from the grid.
After the military pulled out, the remaining responders at Prescott and the Network worked together to shut off the grid because nobody in the area had the manpower or resources to safely maintain it. They did this on the assumption that the power systems would eventually fail catastrophically if they did not, and with the knowledge that local communities were not benefiting from the grid being on.

š¦ You can set the scene wherever in the Quad area you like (feel free to use either points of interest from the maps or make up your own location/setting).
š¦ Deer ferals have a shrill and distinctive call, so despite not sighting it directly, they could say with certainty that this is what they were hearing.
š¦ While deer ferals are among the least dangerous feral zombies, this is a bad time to have one in the Quad area, as they attract stragglers and hordes every time they scream.
š¦ John and Nat will hear this deer feral scream only once initially. Because the sound carries a long way, they will only be able to discern a general direction and not a distance. If they stick around long enough, they can hear it scream again a few hours later, sounding more distant.

š It is not difficult to get into the fire station, although it does look like it was reinforced against zombies at some point before it was abandoned. While a lot of locations around Danforth were left in various states of disarray by their previous residents, the fire station is tidy and organized, and the group is even able to find the keys to their selected vehicle.
š There are very few straggler zeds lurking around the fire station, but the group will net a small horde of a couple dozen zombies in their wake whilst returning to the Container Fort.
š Also do keep in mind that these things get like 3-5 miles per gallon of gasoline.

The deer screams every two hours or so, and ultimately this process will take the group about 8 hours. Anyone who would like to participate in this hunt can roll a d100 in the Discord channel, and whoever gets the high roll gets the kill shot. I'm going to start a thread in the rolls channel for this purpose in just a second.
